Refrigerator repair Newport Beach

Refrigerator repair in Newport Beach covers built-in column units, side-by-side and freestanding models, undercounter drawers and wine storage. A refrigerator that stops cooling cannot wait, so same-day slots stay open daily and the parts that fail most often ride on the van.

Coastal air is the difference here. Salt attacks condenser coils and exposed metal, and a corroded, dust-clogged condenser is behind a large share of the «runs constantly, never gets cold» calls within a mile of the water. It is also why coils here need cleaning more often than they do inland.

On built-in and column refrigerators the diagnosis matters more than the part: a sealed system fault, a failed evaporator fan and a defrost control problem all look the same from the outside, and replacing the wrong part on one of these is expensive. Our technicians are factory trained for them, and the unit is measured before anything is quoted.

Brands we service every week: Sub-Zero, Thermador, Viking, Wolf, Miele, Bosch, Dacor, Fisher & Paykel, KitchenAid, GE, LG, Samsung, Whirlpool, Maytag and Amana. Wine storage and undercounter drawers are included. Call (800) 860-0974 or request service online.

Questions we get asked

Does living near the ocean really affect a refrigerator?

Yes, on the outside of the machine. Salt corrodes condenser coils and fan hardware, and a corroded coil sheds heat poorly, so the compressor runs longer and the unit struggles in hot weather. Coils close to the water are worth cleaning more often than the manual suggests.

Do you repair built-in Sub-Zero column refrigerators?

Yes, they are a large part of our work and our technicians are factory trained for them. These units are worth repairing rather than replacing, because a like-for-like replacement usually means cabinetry work as well.

My wine cooler is not holding temperature. Do you handle those?

Yes, wine storage and undercounter units are included. The usual causes are a failed fan, a thermostat or sensor fault, or a door seal that no longer closes properly.

The refrigerator runs constantly but is not cold. What is it?

Most often dirty or corroded condenser coils or a failed condenser fan, and sometimes a sealed system problem. The first two are fixed on the visit; the third is diagnosed by measurement rather than assumed.

What should I do while I wait for the technician?

Keep the doors closed, move perishable food to a cooler, and make sure the vents behind and above the unit are not blocked. A closed refrigerator holds temperature for several hours.

The C&C Appliance Repair technicians really know what they’re doing. My Kenmore oven broke the morning I was getting ready to throw a dinner party for my new boyfriend’s parents! I called another repair company. They came and gave me a quote, but I just didn’t get a good feeling from them...and their price seemed outrageously high. So I decided to get a “second opinion” — even though I was starting to panic! — and called C&C. That was a smart move. They were much less expensive and didn’t recommend any unneeded repairs like the other company did. If I hadn’t called C&C, I would have spent hundreds of dollars more! The same day I called, a very friendly, very sharp C&C technician came to my house. He carefully diagnosed the problem then clearly explained, and put in writing, what was needed, how much it would cost, and how long it would take. Once he got my approval, he did the work — right on schedule and right on budget. He cleaned up and my kitchen was back to normal in plenty of time to fix dinner. Thank you C&C. I don’t know if the boyfriend is going to last... but you have my eternal devotion!
